Richard is a retired US Army Master Sergeant, who served on active duty from 1972 until 1992.  His service included overseas tours in Korea, Algeria, and The Congo, as well as temporary duty at several locations in Europe, and stateside tours in Fort Knox, KY,  Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, Fort Riley, KS, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Bolling AFB, DC, and Fort Meade, MD.  His final tour of duty was with the J-3/Joint Staff Operations Section, Joint Chiefs of Staff, in the Pentagon. 

 

In addition to duties as Post Commander and Youth Activities Chairman at Post 1667, Richard serves as the MOVFW District 14 Quartermaster/Adjutant, District 14 Youth Activities Chairman, and serves as a member of the MOVFW Department Employee Advisory Committee.
